MND - Mitigated Negative Declaration
Present Land Use
The proposed project includes the purchase of the Upper Penitencia Creek Property from the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority (OSA) and adoption of a Long Term Management Plan for the site. The LTMP identifies site improvements and long term management goals for the Property. The overall goal for long-term management of the Upper Penitencia Creek is to ensure the long term viability of the Property's conservation values. This goal will be met through routine monitoring and management of the conditions that support the Property's biological resources, by maintaining existing infrastructure and by providing for security and public safety as detailed in the LTMP. The LTMP also identifies a series of site improvements to repair existing infrastructure on existing unimproved roads, a water troughs and repair of gully.
