This is a request to construct 33 new greenhouse buildings (totaling 1.95 million sf) for the purpose of sowing and growing of vegetable and flower transplants. The request will amend the current tomato drying facility (which processes more than 30 million pounds of sun-dried tomatoes on fenced and paved yards) to accommodate the greenhouses for processing of the transplants. The greenhouses will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
