The Soquel Demonstration State Forest General Forest Management Plan provides direction and guidance for the managed uses of forest resources and non-timber resources with an emphasis on resource protection and enhancement, demonstration and education, research, timber management, and recreation. Timber harvesting is one of the mechanisms used to implement forest management, protect public trust resources and generate revenue. Other mechanisms include reforestation, road rehabilitation, watershed restoration, fuels reduction, and other methods.
