Document Description
This proposed project involves the development of 141 acres of undeveloped land into up to 650 residential units and associated parking, landscaping, utilities, access roads, detention basins, water quality treatment basins, multiple parks, an extension of Sand Creek Road, the Sand Creek Trail north of Sand Creek Road, and other infrastructure, including a storm drain outfall into Sand Creek. Project will result in impacts to 141 acres of CA tiger salamander (Abystoma californiense) and Swainson's hawk (Buteo swainsoni) habitat including temporary impacts to 1.02 acres; the Project will permanently remove 141 acres of CA tiger salamander and Swainson's hawk habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of CA tiger salamander and Swainson's hawk, which are designated as threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
