Document Description
The proposed project involves the construction of a new 475-student capacity kindergarten through 8th grade (K-8) school. The Somis Union School District has identified the need to relocate Somis School because of structural issues and because it is underlain by high-pressure natural gas pipelines that have been determined to create a potential safety hazard to the students and staff. The proposed project would be comprised of SUSD offices, middle school (7th and 8th grade) classrooms and facilities, and elementary school (K-6th grade) classrooms and facilities on one site, Facilities would total approximately 58,564 sf and would be one story in height.
