Document Description
The proposed project involves the construction of a new 475-student capacity kindergarten through 8th grade (K-8) school. The Somis Union School District has identified the need to replace the existing Somis School because it is underlain by pipelines that have been determined to create a potential hazard. The project site is less than 1/4-mile south of the existing Somis School. The proposed project would involve development of classrooms and associated facilities totaling approximately 58,564 sf. Specific facilities to be incorporated into the school include a library, offices, multi-purpose room, outdoor amphitheater, recreational fields, playgrounds, and staff and bus parking areas.
