Cattails will be mowed in a crosshatching fashion through the use of a boat-mounted mower, weedcutting vessel or by using hand tools. Rhizomes will not be dug out and no soil will be disturbed or removed. All cut vegetation will be removed. Cattail removal will occur from September 1 to February 14 to avoid the avian breeding season.
