Reasons for Exemption
Declared Emergency (Sec. 21080(b)(3); 15269(a)); Emergency Project (Sec. 21080(b)(4);15269 (b)(c)) This is a renewal of an Order issued on February 14, which resulted in an increase in stored water available for the City. The current drought remains in effect, and the City's water supply situation is dire. Its only source of stored water for drought protection is being depleted and must be protected to mitigate the effects of the drought emergency declared by the Governor and to prevent worse effects.
