Document Description
DFD shall remove all vegetation along the North Bay Aqueduct (NBA) at specific locations between each major cross section of pipeline. All vegetation shall be removed within a full 20 foot swath for approximately 12.5 miles along the pipeline on the left side facing downstream and a 10 foot swath around each vault. There are over 100 vaults along the NBA in this footprint. Mowing will include approximately 378 acres. Firebreak creation is needed in order to protect structures, stop fires, and provide opportunity to fight fires, if necessary.
