Document Description
The Division of Safety of Dams (DSOD) requires that valves associated with low-level outlet works be exercised on an annual basis to verify the ability to dewater the reservoir. The Patterson Dam downstream 12-inch BFV shall be exercised by fully opening and closing. The total volume of water between the U/S and D/S valves that will need to be pumped during the valve exercise is estimated as 118 cubic feet. Prior to the proposed valve exercise, DFD staff shall collect a sample of the water contained within the conduit to be dewatered and the sample result shall be approved before the exercise beings. The entire project is within DFD right of way.
