Document Description
DFD staff shall remove all vegetation and sediment from the concrete lined channel located adjacent to the SBPP and terminating in Bethany Reservoir. This channel collects drainage from the surrounding area as well as overflow from a nearby stock pond and empties directly into Bethany Reservoir. This project is proposed at the request of Division of Safety Dams. Vegetation removal is needed for inspection purposes and to prevent overgrowth which creates ponds within the channel that require removal as they obstruct water flow and prevent the channel from operating as designed. The channel must be kept clear of debris to allow for unobstructed water flow throughout the year.
