Document Description
The proposed project is the Urban League of San Diego's Bayside Gospel Concert on the Midway, which will take place aboard the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Flight Deck (Midway) on Sunday, July 27, 2014. The District will provide sponsorship in the form of District funding for the event, a benefit concert. The purpose of the even is to raise funds to help returning American military personnel and their families, with a portion of all ticket sales going to the American Veterans Coalition. The event has an expected attendance of approximately 1,000 people. Parking will be available at the public parking lot on Navy Pier as well as public parking facilities located near the Midway.
