Conduct an approximately 20 acre, periodic, prescribed burn with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire) in the Monterey Pine forest at San Simeon Campground in order to decrease fuel loads, stimulate new seedlings, and diversify the age structure. No more than 20 acres would be burned per year, provided project objectives are met.
