The Project is to construct an outlet structure in the Mojave River channel to facilitate discharge of State Water Project water from the Mojave River Pipeline for aquifer recharge purposes. Two recharge basins currently function as infiltration facilities; however, the direct river outlet will optimize infiltration under the current drought conditions.
