Document Description
The District owns and operates a WWTF designed to service a student and faculty population of approximately 1,300 persons at the McCabe Union Elementary School District. The District proposes to cease surface water discharge of the effluent per the NPDES discharge permit and commence ground discharge into infiltration/evaporation ponds per a WDR permit. This entails discharging the treated effluent to land where it will infiltrate into the ground and be evaporated into the air. No changes are proposed for the wastewater treatment process; thus, the quantity and quality of the discharged effluent and any associated solids (sludge) will not change.
