Document Description
The East Campus Parking Structure 2 is located at UCSD's East Campus Medical Center in the East Campus Health Sciences (ECHS) neighborhood. The project involves construction of a 446,000 gross square-foot (GSF) parking structure and a thermal energy storage (TES) tank where a surface parking lot currently exists. The project would involves demolition of the existing parking lot, minimal grading of slopes and clearing of existing ornamental vegetation, and construction of a multi-level parking structure. The parking structure would include a minimum of 1,200 parking spaces to primarily serve patient and visitor needs, while also providing some staff parking. The parking structure would include two vehicle access points, two elevators and staircases, parking control booths and ADA-accessible spaces, one unisex ADA-accessible staff restroom, custodial closets, one administrative office, and a network hub room. The project would also include installation of a bicycle storage cage, vehicle charging stations, and sustainable landscaping.
