The Mariposa Public Utility District is proposing a vegetation management project in portions of the Stockton Creek Watershed. The proposed project includes: clear and protect existing stands of Ponderosa Pine and Blue Oak, remove hazard tress, thin and leave small areas of Toyon and Manzanita, plant Ponderosa Pine and Blue Oak, remove fuel ladders and risk of potential crown fires, provide erosion control measures and improve water quality in Stockton Creek.
