Document Description
The project consists of expanding the existing substation to the south and replacing elements of the substation such as the power transformers, voltage regulators, capacitor banks, switchgears and existing wood poles in and around the substation with higher capacity components. The project also includes the phased replacement of four distribution circuits with eight new underground substation distribution feeders and a circuit re-configuration between the Pruett and Calexico Substations to allow more load to be transferred. The upgrades to the substation will necessitate the replacement of existing 92 kV "ED" transmission line poles.
