Document Description
Perform forest thinning and hazard fuel reduction on 55 acres at Donner Memorial State Park to restore native forest composition and structure, promote riparian hardwoods and reduce hazardous fire fuels along Coldstream Road. Work will manually thin, chip, pile and burn as well as using mechanical harvester equipment. Use two existing park roadside landings to stage equipment; load trucks with wood chips and firewood logs. Rehabilitate tractor routes to natural topographic conditions and cover with native forest litter or wood chips after project completion; reconstruct haul road and landing to clean and smooth condition.
