Document Description
The project is to improve visitor usage of a picnic area adjacent to the Jolly Oyster concession located in Lot C at San Buenaventura State Beach (SBSB) by replacing a 6,890 sq. ft. area of turf grass with a decomposed granite surface. Currently only one picnic table in the area contains an improved surface which meets ADA compliance. An over-abundance of burrowing rodents has riddled the gound with holes creating a poorly developed surface which is unappealing to visitors. The improvements will include installation of 6,890 sq. ft. of wire mesh for rodent control and replace soil with 42 yards of road base material, topped with 64 yards of decomposed granite and compacted to a firm surface which will comply with ADA standards.
