Document Description
The purpose of this project is to support the build out of hydrogen refueling infrastructure to support the roll out of fuel cell vehicles in California. The nature of the project is installation of hydrogen refueling equipment at 3 existing gas stations. Hydrogen refueling equipment at each location consists of containerized hydrogen generation, compression, and dispensing equipment. Beneficiaries will include residents in Rohnert Park, Pacific Palisades, Orange, and surrounding communities as these stations allow drivers to use zero emission fuel cell vehicles, displacing polluting vehicles.

Reasons for Exemption
This project will involve the installation of a containerized electrolyzer hydrogen generator, hydrogen storage tanks, and compression and dispensing equipment at each of 3 locations in California. The use of 100% renewable power conbined with onsite hydrogen generation via electrolysis will produce up to 130 kg/day of hydrogen for use in fuel cell electric vehicles which will displace use of gasoline with less polluting hydrogen.
