- Document Description
- The proposed project is the replacement of an existing water storage tank with two new water storage tanks. The purpose of the two new tanks is the same as the existing tank, namely to store potable water that has been treated to a water quality standard required by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. Additionally, the use of two tanks would provide needed redundancy for maintenance purposes. The proposed capacity of each of the two new tanks is 0.825 million gallons (MG) or 1.65 MG total storage capacity for the two new tanks. The existing tank to be replaced currently has a 2.2 MG storage capacity. The need for the replacement of the existing 2.2 MG water storage tank is because diver testing in January 2013 determined that the existing tank is at the end of its useful life and beyond rehabilitation efforts. The beneficiaries of the project would be the community of Lost Hills in order to help assure a stable supply of potable water to the community.
