Borings are to be performed through the existing bridge deck. The bridge deck will be cored and casting set into the subgrade at these boring location to facilitate drilling and sampling. The casing will create a closed system so that no cuttings will be released in the channel. Cuttings and drill fluid will be placed in drums, sealed, and disposed of appropriately.
