Document Description
The Department of Fish and Wildfife is issuing a permit to Moss Landing Marine Laboratory - Marine Pollution Studies Lab (MLML) pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 2081(a) for fish sampling under the San Francisco Bay Monitoring Program's human health risk assessment of consuming sportfish. The Section 2081(a) permit authorizes the MLML to incidentally take Longfin Smelt and Chinook Salmon during the course of its survey subject to terms and conditions set forth in the permit. The purpose of the survey is to measure concentraations of mercury, PCBs, and other chemical contaminants in sportfish within San Francisco Bay that are above thresholds of concern for human health.
