Investigate corrosion of the main suspension cables of the west span of the SFOBB to monitor its service life. Repair cracks in the concrete structures of Piers W4 and W7 & apply a corrosion inhibitor on the exterior surface at Pier W4. The purpose is to preserve the structural integrity of the bridge. Travelers on I80 will benefit.
