Document Description
DTSC has issued an emergency permit to Cordis Corporation (Cordis) to treat hazardous waste by chemical stabilization. It has been determined that these materials are or may be highly reactive and should be chemically stabilized as a safety precaution prior to being transported offsite. These items are expired and stored in the storage facilities of Cordis Corporation in Fremont. Treatment will be carried out by CHES and involves additional chemicals to the container to reduce the reactive characteristics of the chemicals.
