- Document Description
- The project is limited to the repair and protection of approximately 300-foot of stream bank of the Petaluma River. The existing riprap was damaged during storms in 2005/2006. The project will require grubbing of a limited amount of vegetation in the project footprint. A temporary coffer dam will be constructed around the entire worksite. The coffer dam will be dewatered using a screened sump pump equipped with filter/silt fence to maintain water quality of pump discharge. A footing trench will be excavated at the toe of the stream bank, a layer of rock slope protection filter fabric will be placed in the trench and against the stream bank, folled by placement of 1/4-ton riprap to construct a rock slope approximately 300-foot long, 3-foot high and 3-foot deep.
