Note: Reference SCH# 2012022059 The Draft Special Events Ordinance is a County initiated amendment to the Butte County Zoning Ordinance that would be located under Part 4, Supplemental Use Regulations, as new Section 24-175.2 of the Zoning Ordinance. It is applicable to the unincorporated area of the County of Butte. The Draft Special Events Ordinance sets forth a permit process and various standards and requirements for special event facilities. A special event is defined as a celebration, ceremony, wedding, reception, corporate function, or similar activity. A special event facility is a facility where special events are permitted to occur subject to a use agreement between a private group or individual and the facility owner, and subject to a minor use permit approved in compliance with the Special Events Facilities Ordinance.
