- The request is for a zone amendment of approximately 67 acres of a 435.64-acre parcel from Exclusive Agriculture to Commercial Recreation. The proposed zone amendment would allow for the expansion of the existing approved winery to include recreational oriented facilities including restaurant dining, expanded special events to host up to 220 people, hotel, spa, and additional outdoor recreational opportunities such as sport clay shooting, hunting and fishing. Existing, approved uses include a medium sized winery and accessory structures to support the winery, wine tasting, horseback riding tours, hiking, and limited numbers of special events for weddings and other gatherings. The project includes approximately 5 miles of hiking and riding trails approximately 7 acres designated for sport shooting located outside of the 67 acres delineated for the proposed Commercial Recreation zone district.
