Document Description
Implementation of the proposed project would result in the addition of 23 classrooms to the Dougherty Valley High School campus. This addition instructional space will increase student capacity at the campus by 700 students for a total capacity of 3,150 students. It is anticipated that these additional students would be evenly divided between 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. It is anticipated that 28 staff/faculty would be added to the DVHS campus, for a total of 203 staff. Renovations to the campus are expected to occur in two phases. Phase I would include the installation of 12 prefabricated portable classrooms; it is anticipated that installation would occur during the summer of 2014. Phase 2 would include the construction of an additional 11 classrooms to the 1000 Building, which is an existing two-story building on campus. It is anticipated that construction of Phase 2 would be completed in 2016.
