Document Description
The City of Live Oak has received Community Development Block Grant funds to develop a site area of approximately 20,000 square feet within a larger 4.73 City-owned parcel that encompasses the City's baseball field and Community Building (the northeast corner of Live Oak Memorial Park). The project involves construction of above- and below-ground skate and bike park features primarily covered in concrete. The project includes launch ramps, rails, stairs, banks, concrete bowls and pipes, benches, and ledges for skating and bicycling activities, as well as a multi-use stage, shade structures, lighting, bicycle racks, a drinking water fountain, picnic tables and landscaping. The project also includes improvements to O Street along the project site. Chain-link fencing with vinyl slates is proposed around the edges of the project site. The park will not be open at night (no night time lighting, other than safety lighting, is proposed).
