Document Description
The project area will cover approximately 20,000 sf (almost one-half acre) of a larger 4.73-acre City-owned parcel, which encompasses the City's baseball fields and the Community Building. The project site is an undeveloped triangle-shaped area of Live Oak Memorial Park, consisting of sparsely distributed weeds, dirt, three trees, and a well that is not in use. The project site is located east of an existing baseball field and south of an existing residential neighborhood. The proposed project includes grading and excavation for above- and below-ground features, primarily covered in concrete. The project features include launch ramps, rails, stairs, banks, concrete bowls and pipes, benches, and ledges for skating and bicycle activities, as well as a multi-use stage, shade structures, lighting, bicycle racks, a drinking water fountain, picnic tables, and landscaping. The proposed project also includes improvements to O Street along the project site, including the addition of sidewalk, curb, gutter, and storm drain improvements. Parking for the proposed project would be provided by existing on-street parking and parking lot facilities in the Community Building lot located south of the project site at the corner of O Street and Park Street.
