Homen Dairy Farms LP has requested an Authority to Construct permit to expand an existing dairy from a maximum herd capacity of 1,300 milk cows, 250 dry cows, 1,150 support stock (heifers & bulls) and 250 calves to a maximum capacity of 3,360 milk cows, 500 dry cows, 3,450 support stock (heifers & bulls), and 410 calves. The expansion will include the construction of three new freestall barns, one new special needs barn, and two new Saudi style barns. Other existing housing structures will be renovated and/or expanded to accommodate the increased number of cows.
