- Document Description
- The Big Bear Municipal Water District has received a request to authorize the dredging of a shallow area of Big Bear Lake in the Fawnskin area and placement of the dredged materials on an adjacent parcel of land owned by the District and a parcel of land owned by the Applicant who desires to create a buildable pad for future development. The proposed action also includes the construction of a seawall to prevent future erosion of soils adjacent to the lake. An application has been submitted by Joseph E. Bonadiman & Associates, Inc. on behalf of the property owner, Dorothy Allen Porter, Living Trust. The Applicant's property (APN: 0304-131-05) occupies approximately 0.5 acre of land (21,135 sf) and the District's property (APM 0340-131-12) is approximately 1/2 acre. The Project area is located in the community of Fawnskin immediately south of the intersection of Seminole Drive and North Shore Drive. All proposals to dredge and construct seawalls within Big Bear Lake must be reviewed and approved by the District Board.
