The project is limited to the construction of three (3) terraced rockery walls to provide stabilization of the existing shore zone and the extension of an existing pier. The walls will span across the Permittee's parcel and the neighboring parcel to the West (Stout APN: 094-160-023). Integrated stone steps wll provide acess to the store from the upland on both parcels, replcing existing wooden staircases. The new walls and access stairs will provide stabilization and erosion control on the slope and allow for the installation of additional vegetation plantings.
Reconstruction of an existing pier that will be located on the same site and have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the replaced pier. Construction of the vegetated rock revetments will provide bank stabilization utilizing native vegation and bioengineering techniques in order to reduce or eliminate erosion and sedimentation.
