The proposed project is the Rady Children's Hospital Celebration of Champions, which will take place at Embarcadero Marina Park North in San Diego on May 9 and 10, 2014. The District will provide event sponsorship and financial assistance for the event, a relay for children who are battling cancer. The relay, which will consist of 1/8-mile segments, is intended to provide a fun break for the children and their parents. The vent will also raise funds for Rady Children's Hospital. The event has an expected attendance of over 1,500 people. Limited parking will be provided at the parking lot serving Embarcadero Marina Park North.
