Document Description
The proposed project is the 28th Annual Navy Bay Bridge Run Walk, which will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Set-up and tear down of even amenities will occur at Coronado Tidelands Park from May 16- May 19, 2014, with the even taking place on May 18, 2014. The District will provide event sponsorship and financial assistance for the event, a 4-mile run/walk over the San Diego - Coronado Bay Bridge hosted by the Navy. The run/walk will start at the intersection of One Park Blvd and Harbor Drive near the San Diego Convention Center, will travel south along Harbor Drive to Cesar E. Chavez Parkway, will continue east to National Avenue, will cross over the Coronado Bay Bridge, and will end at Coronado Tidelands Park. There will be a post-ride festival with food, beverages, and entertainment at the park. The event has an expected attendance of over 10,000 people. Parking will be available at public parking facilities located near the San Diego Convention Center.
