The proposed project will take place at Spanish Landing Park from Thursday, May 8 - Sunday, May 11, 2014. Also, set-up and tear down of the event will occur at Spanish Landing Park on May 7- May 12, 2014. The District will provide event sponsorship and financial assistance for the event, a four-day festival that will feature the following; Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and community bands on four stages, shaded dance floors, music workshops, cultural presentations, Cajon and Creole food, cooking demonstrations, dance lessons, and entertainment. The even has an expected attendance of over 15,000 people. Limited parking will be provided at the parking lot serving Spanish Landing Park, and additional parking will be available at public parking facilities located near Spanish Landing Park.
