Document Description
The proposed project involves the renovation of two existing storage rooms to create a limited laundry faiclity at the Kona Kai Resort (hotel) in San Diego. The hotel does not currently have an on-site laundry facility. A temporary laundry trailer facility was previously located at the hotel from December 2012 to March 2013. Since that temporary laundry facility was removed, the hotel has been contracting with a third party vendor to launder its linen. The proposed project will create a new limited laundry facility designed to service the hotel's terry. Linen, however, will continue to be laundered through a third party vendor. The new limited laundry facility will be built in two rooms currently utilized for storage. The first storage room measures approximately 123 sf, and the second storage room measures approximately 74 sf. These two storage rooms will modified, as further detailed below, to create an approximately 197-sf. limited laundry facility designed to serve the hotel's existing laundry needs. The displaced storage area will be replaced within other existing storage areas at the hotel.
