Document Description
On June 3, 2014, the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) adopted General Waste Discharge Requirements for Recycled Water Use (General Order) at a public meeting. The General Order is applicable statewide and will be used by Regional Water Quality Control Boards to streamline permitting of water recycling projects. Recycled water means water which, as a result of treatment, is suitable for a direct beneficial use or a controlled use that would not otherwise occur and is therefore considered a valuable resource.
