To reduce the flood risk to properties within service area of Reclamation District 784, Three Rivers Levee Improvement Authority proposes to construct a levee south of the Yuba Goldfields using standard levee material to intercept flood flows from the Yuba Goldfields and redirect them to the Yuba River floodplain west of the Yuba Goldfields. The levee will be designed to meet U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and DWR urban levee design criteria for 200-yr flood risk reduction.
