Document Description
American Solar Utility is proposing to establish a 1.5 MW Wholesale Photovoltaic Solar - Sheep Grazing farm on a 10 acre portion of a 142 acre project parcel in an AG-2; Agriculture/Valley District. The project is location in an area identified in the General Plan as Valley Floor Agricultural. The proposed use is allowed upon securing a use permit. Landowner, Rick Stemple, is leading the property to American Solar. The property is currently within the Williamson Act Contract and managed as an orchard. The project will utilize a total of 10 acres; 3.2 acres of the proposed project will be covered by the solar panels; the remaining 10.8 acres will be designated for sheep grazing. The project area is less than 10% of the total parcel.
