Document Description
The Tahoe Valley Area Plan is being prepared by the City of South Lake Tahoe pursuant to Chapter 13 of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) Code of Ordinances, which allows local governments to adopt conforming Area Plans that contain policies and development ordinances that are consistent with and further the goals and policies of the TRPA Regional Plan. The Area Plan also implements the City's General Plan. The Area Plan defines a vision for the future intended to improve mixed-use development opportunities, concentrate development in and around the Town Center, improve pedestrian, bicycle and transit circulation, and provide housing in close proximity to commercial activities, amenities, and recreation.
