The Regional Water Quality Control Board, Los Angeles Region adopted General Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs) Order No. R4-2014-0187 for in-situ groundwater remediation and groundwater re-injection. Wastes, including petroleum hydrocarbon fuel, volatile organic compounds and inorganic contaminants, have impact groundwater at various sites throughout the Los Angeles Region, Remediation/cleanup of groundwater at these sites includes the use and application of chemical, biological, and physical treatment processes. The General WDRs authorize the application of these materials and contain conditions to minimize impacts caused by the application of the materials.
