Document Description
The SWRCB, as the responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. The City of Solvang Water Division (City) has developed a well siting study for possible "upland" well sites to increase local water supplies to the City. Five upland well sites have been selected for study, drilling, and testing; potentially up to three of which may be future wells that would provide the City with potable water supplies to meet water demand. Construction of the project would entail the drilling of five well sites. The City is looking to obtain a total yield for the proposed wells of 500 to 600 gallons per minute to meet potable demand needs. The associated pipeline infrastructure will be installed upon well completion and testing.
