Document Description
The Proposed Project will implement farm-scale Best Management Practices (BMPs) that will reduce pollutant loading in irrigation runoff and in stormwater originating on irrigated agricultural lands and to demonstrate these BMPs to other agricultural operations. The Proposed Project will implement farm-scale BMPs including:
- Creation of a sediment basin to capture sediment and possibly DDT adsorbed to the sediment from agricultural runoff.
- Excavation and recontouring of an existing drainage ditch (grassed waterway) and sediment basin.
- Creation and recontouring of vegetated treatment ditches (VT DITCH) to reduce sediment levels and to treat pesticides.
