Document Description
The Project would amend the adopted MND by the addition of a new well (Well 4A) instead of the Well 2A modification and the Well 4 abandonment. Well 2A was not able to be modified and has been abandoned. Well 4 is no longer being abandoned but will remain online. Because Well 4 is not reliable, a new well (Well 4A) will be constructed on the existing Well 4 site. The two wells would utilize a bypass switch and would not operate at the same time. These changes do not expand capacity of the water system beyond what was discussed in the 2014 IS/MND. The adopted CEQA document did not include Well 4A. No additional changes or equipment would be needed with the Project as the original equipment required in the MND would be adequate to meet the needs of the Project. Construction time is not anticipated to change from what was approved in the MND.
