Document Description
The Proposed Project is located at Fort Irwin, approximately 37 miles northeast of Barstow, CA, in the north-central part of the Mojave Desert. The Proposed Project would entail the construction and operation of a 34 ton per day (tpd) pyrolytic conversions system (PCS) power plant designed by Funks Engineering with a maximum energy generation capacity of 1.6 megawatts and 1,882 kilovolts. The PCS power plant, also referred to as the Waste-to-Energy Facility, would be located on approximately 5.5 acres of currently vacant land within the Fort Irwin cantonment adjacent to the existing landfill and the municipal solid waste processing facility. Temporary construction staging areas would also be located within the 5.5 acres.
