The Proposed Project would entail the construction and operation of a 34 ton per day (tpd) pyrolytic conversions system (PCS) power plant designed by Funks Engineering with a maximum energy generation capacity of 1.6 megawatts (MW) and 1,882 kilovolts (Kva). The PCS power plant, also referred to as the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Facility, would be located on approximately 5.5 acres of currently vacant land within the Fort Irwin cantonment adjacent to the existing landfill and the MSW processing facility (Landfill Baler Building). Temporary construction staging areas would also be located within the 5.5 acres.
