Document Description
CDFW has issued incidental Take Permit No. 2081-2018-040 (ITP), pursuant to section 2081 (b) of the Fish and Game Code to the County of Merced for the Dickenson Ferry Road Bridge Replacement Project. This proposed Project involves replacing the existing Dickenson Ferry Road Bridge (Bridge No. 39C0095) that crosses Bear Creek, widen the bridge approaches, realign the intersection of Dickenson Ferry Road and Quinley Avenue, and relocate the O'Donnell Lateral Canal. Project will result in impacts to 4.039 acres of Covered Species Swainson's hawk (Buteo Swainsoni) and giant garter snake (Thamnophis gigas) habitat including temporary impacts to 2.89 acres; the Project will permanently remove 1.149 acres of Covered Species habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of Swainson's hawk and giant garter snake, both which are designated as a threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
